Our Fundraisers and Activities
The Santa Clara Women’s League was founded in 1983 when funding for the Senior Center Health & Wellness Program was in jeopardy. A group of Santa Clara women started raising funds for the Program by putting on an old-fashioned melodrama, SHOWTIME. In March of each year, that tradition continues and the Santa Clara Women’s League is the primary sponsor. We gather donations, produce and sell tickets, and volunteer at the two performances. All of this takes many dedicated and hardworking women who want to serve their community.
COMING THIS MARCH Showtime 2027
Plans for the 41st annual Showtime Fundraiser are underway! On March 5, 6 and 7, 2027, members of the Santa Clara Women’s League will be putting on their amazing annual event to raise funds for Santa Clara Senior Center programs such as the Health and Wellness program and Senior Nutrition daily meals. Showtime audiences will see an old-fashioned melodrama entitled “The Mississippi Belle” or “Rollin’ On the River” and have fun while they Boo the Villain and Cheer for the Hero!!
Participants will also enjoy delicious food and drinks; take a chance to win exquisite, themed baskets – maybe a chocolate basket or an Italian dinner basket; buy tickets to win $500, $400, $300, $200 or $100 in cash or purchase tickets to win an authentic autographed football signed by 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, handmade quilt or needlepoint pillow crafted by local artists, or a weekend away in California’s gold country!!
Come and support our cause!!!! Mark your calendars for March 5, 6, and 7, 2027 to attend and visit our SHOWTIME page on this website starting in December 2027 for details. Showtime is planned, prepared and staffed by volunteers and 100% of our profits are donated to the Santa Clara Senior Center for programs!!!
